A novel of historical fiction infused with the supernatural.
A young Jewish teen survives a mass execution of Jewish victims at the hands of an evil rogue Nazi commandant. Lying wounded at the bottom of the execution pit, she summons for the Golem, a mythological creature from Jewish legend made flesh out of the pit's defiled muck. After rescued by her Golem, the girl is captured by vigilantes. The Golem seeks her with relentless obsession, obeying its destiny to protect its creator and leaving in its wake mutilated Nazis and blood-soaked villages.
The journey through Nazi Europe reveals the creature's true purpose as savior of all Jewish people. Realizing the Golem's threat to Nazi invincibility, SS officer Klaus Wirtzler doggedly pursues the Golem after discovering the secret to its destruction. History is altered in the final confrontation between the Golem, Wirtzler, and Nazi evil.
Actual historical events including the death of Final Solution architect Reinhard Heydrich, the Treblinka death camp revolt, and the Holocaust itself, are reimagined through the actions of the Golem.
